Stir-Fried Asparagus with Shiitake Mushrooms
Ingredients

1 pound (lb) of asparagus

6 ounces (oz) of fresh shiitake mushrooms

1 tablespoon (tbsp) of vegetable oil

1 tablespoon (tbsp) of sesame oil

1 tablespoon (tbsp) of chopped garlic

4 ounces (oz) of oyster sauce

Crushed red chilies (optional)
Directions

Wash the asparagus.

Cut the ends off of the asparagus stalks.

Cut the trimmed asparagus stalks at an angle into pieces about 1 inch long.

Wash the mushrooms.

Cut off the mushroom stems and slice the mushroom caps into slices about half an inch thick.

Heat the vegetable and sesame oils in a wok or sauté pan.

Add the garlic and stir-fry for a few seconds.

Add the asparagus and mushrooms.

Stir-fry for 1 minute.

Add the oyster sauce and crushed chilies.

Stir-fry until the asparagus is nearly tender. It should take about 3 minutes.
Your measuring spoon set may have tbsp, TBS, T, TB, or Tbl on it. They all mean tablespoon.
