Pumpkin Chocolate Cake
Ingredients

3 ½ cups of all-purpose flour

¾ teaspoon (tsp) of baking powder

¾ teaspoon (tsp) of baking soda

½ teaspoon (tsp) of salt

3 ½ teaspoons (tsp) of pumpkin pie spice

¾ cup of chopped baking chocolate

2 cups of pumpkin puree

2 ½ cups of applesauce

6 eggs
-
½ cup of canola oil
Directions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin pie spice.

Add the chopped baking chocolate.

In another bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, applesauce, and eggs together until smooth.

Mix in the canola oil.

Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.

To make pumpkin chocolate cupcakes, scoop the batter into a cupcake pan lined with paper cupcake cups.

To make a sheet cake, pour the batter into a small sheet pan lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 14 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the center comes out clean.
The baking time may take longer, depending on the size of your pan.
