Steak Pizzaiola
Ingredients

2 New York or sirloin steaks

¼ teaspoon (tsp) of salt

2 tablespoons (tbsp) of cooking oil

1 tablespoon (tbsp) of chopped garlic

2 sliced bell peppers
-
1 sliced onion
-
4 sliced pepperoncini
-
15 ounces (oz) of marinara sauce
-
½ teaspoon (tsp) of dried oregano
-
½ teaspoon (tsp) of red pepper flakes
-
2 tablespoons (tbsp) of chopped parsley
Directions

Sprinkle the salt on the steak.

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.

Add the steaks.

Sear until brown. About 2 minutes on each side.

Move the steaks to a plate.

Add the garlic to the hot oil.

Cook for one minute.

Add the onions and bell peppers.

Cook until soft. About 4 minutes.

Mix in the pepperoncini, marinara sauce, oregano, and red pepper flakes.

Bring to a simmer.

Add the steaks into the sauce and simmer until medium rare. About 8 minutes.

Move the steaks to a cutting board.

Let the steaks rest for about 5 minutes.

While the steaks are resting, continue to simmer the sauce until thickened.

Slice the steaks thinly.

Spread the steak slices out on a plate and top with the sauce.
Your measuring spoon set may have tbsp, TBS, T, TB, or Tbl on it. They all mean tablespoon.
